Govern it

Governance

Your family’s rules for its money, written down in plain words. Finna checks what you own against them every day and tells you when something slips outside.

Inside the desk

How Governance works.

Your family’s rules, and where you stand against them today. Four things to know, pinned to one screen.

  1. 1What it is

Your family’s rules on one page: how much to keep in each kind of investment, and how much cash to keep at hand.

  2. 2What you see

Where you stand against each rule today, and anything that has slipped outside it.

  1. 3Why it matters

Left alone, the mix changes by itself. Written rules show it early, while it is still an easy decision.

  2. 4What stays yours

You set every number, and Finna never suggests one. A change is saved as a new version.

Held to

Measured against the rules your family agreed, not a market average we picked.

In plain English

What a household policy is.

A short set of rules your family agrees for its money, the way a pension fund or a family office writes down how it invests. It answers a few plain questions: what the money is for, how long it could wait, how much to keep in each kind of investment and how much cash to keep at hand.

An example

What the money is for
Our retirement first, then the children’s education
How long it could wait
About fifteen years
In a bad year, we would
Hold and wait it out
Cash at hand
Always six months of spending
Shares
Between 50% and 70% of what we invest
Bonds
Between 20% and 35%
An illustrative household, not advice. Your family writes its own answers, and Finna never suggests a number.

Why it matters

Rules on paper beat decisions in the moment.

Calm decisions, not rushed ones

Rules agreed on a quiet day keep a bad week in the markets, a tip over dinner or a sales call from deciding for you.

Drift is caught early

What does well quietly grows into a bigger share than you ever chose, and cash runs down without anyone deciding it should. Finna shows it the same day, while it is still an easy call.

Everyone works from the same page

Your partner, your advisers and, later, your children can see what was agreed and why, so nobody has to guess what you would have wanted.

Your rules. Your decisions.

Finna gives you the questions and does the checking. You set every number, and Finna never suggests one.

  • Nothing moves on its own. When something slips outside a rule, you are told the same day. Finna never moves your money; what happens next is your family’s decision.
  • Nothing is written over. A change is saved as a new version, dated and agreed by the people it binds, so you can always see what the rules were when a decision was made.
  • No advice. Finna gives no investment, tax or legal advice. When a question needs an expert, Freya says so, and you bring in the one you choose.
