Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and Finna Inc., a company in the United States (“Finna”, “we”). They cover this website and the Finna Family Office platform at app.finnafamilyoffice.com, with Freya, Learn and the what-if tools inside it (“the office”).
By using the website or opening an office, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use either.
What Finna is, and is not
Finna is a technology platform that helps you organize and understand your household’s finances. Finna Inc. is not registered with or regulated by any financial authority. We do not give investment, tax, legal or insurance advice, and nothing in Finna is a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or investment.
Decisions about your money are yours. For advice on your own situation, talk to a qualified professional.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to open an office, and the office is for your own household. Give us true details, keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
On the free office two adults share one household record, and both can see and change everything in it. When you invite someone in, such as a family member or an adviser, you choose what they can see, and that choice is yours.
Your record is yours
Everything your household enters, uploads or connects stays yours. You allow us to store it, process it and show it to you and to the people you let in, and to let Freya work from it, so that we can run your office. We never sell it.
You can export everything your household entered at any time, on every plan, including after a change of plan. When you add information or documents about other people, such as your children, your parents or a trust, make sure you have the right to.
How we handle personal information is set out in the privacy notice.
Freya
Freya is Finna’s AI assistant. She prepares summaries and answers questions from your record, and her work appears in your access log. Like any AI, she can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, so check anything that matters before you act on it. What she says is information, not advice.
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of Freya’s work, as shown on the Pricing page.
Figures and what-if tools
The figures in your office are only as good as what is entered and connected, and values change. Check them before you rely on them.
The what-if tools show what might happen under stated assumptions. Their projections are hypothetical in nature, do not reflect actual investment results and are not guarantees of future results. Results may vary with each use and over time. Each tool explains how its numbers work.
Connections and your money
Connections to your accounts are read-only. Finna cannot move money and never holds your assets.
The banks, custodians and other providers you connect run their own services under their own terms. We are not responsible for those services, or for the accuracy of what they send us.
Learn
Learn’s paths, badges and certificates record what you have learned inside Finna. They are not professional qualifications or licenses. Some parts of the office open as you complete paths. That is about understanding the tools, never a judgment of whether an investment suits you.
Plans and payment
Family Office is free for your own household, and no card is needed. Family Office Plus costs $15 a month per household, in US dollars, with any tax that applies. It is billed monthly in advance and renews each month until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time in the app. Cancelling stops the next payment, Plus stays open until the end of the month you have paid for, and we do not refund part of a month unless the law requires it. When a paid plan ends, you drop back to the free office: anything the paid plan created becomes read-only, never deleted, and all of it still exports.
If a price changes, we tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before you are charged the new price. Family Office Pro is not open yet. Joining its waitlist commits you to nothing.
Using Finna fairly
Do not use Finna to break the law or anyone’s rights; upload anything harmful, such as malware; try to get into accounts, records or systems that are not yours; copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer the website or the office; overload or disrupt it; or use Freya to produce anything unlawful or abusive.
Some pages, such as the investor documents, are only for people we have given an access code to. Keep the code to yourself, and do not share what those pages contain.
If you break these terms or the law and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
What belongs to Finna
The website, the office, Freya, Learn, our names, marks and designs, and everything else we make belong to Finna Inc. or to those who license them to us. You may use them for your household’s own purposes under these terms, and for nothing else. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
Changes and closing
Finna is new and will change. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever close the office, or remove a paid feature you rely on, we tell you at least 30 days in advance so you have time to export your record.
You can close your office at any time. Export what you want to keep first: once it is closed, we delete your record, apart from anything the law requires us to keep.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or Finna at risk. Unless the law or safety prevents it, we tell you why and give you the chance to export your record first.
Our responsibility
We work to keep Finna accurate, available and secure, but we provide it as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors or right for your purposes.
To the extent the law allows, Finna Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, investment losses, or decisions you make using Finna. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud or willful misconduct.
The law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in California, and either of us may use a small claims court where it has jurisdiction.
If you live outside the United States, for example in the EU or the UK, you keep the protections your own consumer law gives you, including the right to bring a claim in your home courts.
Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users are entitled to this notice: the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs can be reached in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N-112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at 800-952-5210.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version appears here with a new date. If a change affects how you use your office, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Finna after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can export your record and close your office.
The rest
These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement between us about Finna. If any part cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up. We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Finna; you may not transfer them without our agreement. We send notices to the email on your account or inside the app.
